My fifth attempt at a glitch style loop. In order to make the samples used here - most of which are only hundredths of a second long - i took samples from the amen kit, then switch the format from >pcm 22. 050 khz, 8 bit, mono< into >adpcm 11. 025 khz, 4 bit, stereo< then back to >pcm 22. 050 khz, 8 bit, mono< again. I found that if you do this with a sample under 00. 35 seconds long, you get an almost random glitch sound, about. 04 seconds long, that barely sounds like the original sound. I just figured this out, but i'll make note of it; i like some of the effects.

An interesting sound from a house we were staying at. The outdoor exhaust for the clothes dryer made this jet like noise, particularly when the microphone was moved around it. There are some bird and mower noises in the background, but this really just wants to be the basis for some cool sound design jets, whooshes, turbines, etc. Play with it and make something cool. Crackling chewinggum in a mouth of a child. More pouring out of the paperbag into the mouth at the middle of recording with chewing. Different mouth formants. Recorded with zoom h4n at 44,1 khz, 16 bit, stereo. Without compression. Only cut low end at about 500hz to take away a little bit of breathing and denoised some backgroundnoise for more direct sound.

There was a big storm in my city and i opened the windows to feel the draught. I nearly closed my door. I left a little bit space only and i recorded the sound of this little space:).

Happy accident: recorded a finger snap on a asus t100's internal laptop as a test sound, applied (heavy leveller, normalization)*10 and this came out. Sounds like a fine punch/damage sound on speakers, maybe for a 8-bit game.
